Eleven Pond
From Upstate NY we have Eleven Pond. This was another rare purchase from Bleeker Bob's (only 500 pressed), I was talked into getting this by Bob himself claiming it was the best dark synth he had ever heard.. When I got home.. I didn't like it so much... I recently released it from the racks, and found it to be pretty good. The production is a bit tinny, but it's some good Coldwave, synthy New Wave. You can hear all the influences, too many to mention, but I know you'll like it!
This LP has been remastered and reissued on Dark Entries records (500 hand numbered copies)

V/A: Darker Skratcher
Here we have Darker Skratcher released on The Los Angeles Free Music Society label. A 14 song comp of pure kooky music experimentation that is so L.A. this Lp runs the gamut of No Wave, industrial, Zappa-esque electronic gumbo, and just some of the craziest shit you ever heard!
The Los Angeles Free Music Society (LAFMS) has been, since the early 1970s, the banner heading of a loose collective of experimental musicians in Los Angeles, California who were joined by an aesthetic based around radical experimentation of sound and voice..
This is still available.. LAFMS
I highly recommend it!

Claustrofobia
From Spain we have Claustrofobia, hailed to be the big breakout in the early 80's, but never did. Their record company marketed them as a rock band, but they were not the "banda de rock" everyone thought, but a great Coldwave synth trio. They disbanded in 1992, but left an important Coldwave footprint to this genre.

Three more 7 inchers
Since you all seem to eat up all these 7" I post..
Here is more!!
First we have an accident.
Alex Fergusson
When I saw this 7" at a great record store in South Florida (Yesterday & Today)I flipped, this was during my Raver period, and I was a HUGE Orb fan. So I saw this Alex Fergusson 7" and thought it was a lost Orb gem... DUH!!!! I was probably stoned, I got my Alex's mixed up. So Alex Fergusson was an original member of Psychic TV, and the dude from the Orb was Alex Paterson!! So I had a moment!
So it turns out that this is an awesome Synth Pop gem!

Prom Night
Yes the 1980 Canadian horror/slasher film starring Leslie Nielsen and Jamie Lee Curtis.
BUT
The full on Disco soundtrack is composed by Paul Zaza and Carl Zittrer. Who? I don't know either, but this ultra slick cheeze sleeze Disco bombardment is an awesome assult to your senses like a big splash of Paco Robanne!
Pumped up with Disco ballads/Disco Traditionale'/Space Disco/and my favorite Disco Sleeze.

Zodiac
Zodiac was a Soviet Latvian Electronic synthpop band from Riga, Latvia. Founded in 1979 and led by keyboardist and composer Juris Kulakovs they were titled Arka (The Arch). In the very same year, while recording their first album, Juris left the band because of musical disagreement with all the rest of members. Keyboardist and composer Janis Lusens took the leadership. In 1980 the band were renamed to Zodiac.
Zodiac's music is a dreamy voyage through a unpretentious space disco. Charming chunky unironic sleeze,
with psychedelic undertones..
I have the first 2 releases.
The first Zodiac release sold 20 million copies.. WHOA!

Ronny
Androgyny is always hot!
Ronny is some synthy lady, with lots of breathy moments, and seductive sleeze beats.
Ronny used to be a Top French Model. Ronny was brought up in the grim Northern industrial area of France and left home at 14 to go to Paris, there lying about her age and doing terrible jobs. Took dancin classes and jobs then stopped everything and started to write songs. Club entrepreneur Rusty Egan met Ronny in the Paris club Privelege and co-produced with Midge Ure her best release, Vangelis, Georg Kajanus and Peter Godwin also produced for her. Ronny, a masculine name, is the blitz girl who loved to dress up as a boy and also appear on the Ultravox 'Station' record sleeve.
If you are not familiar with this chanteuse, now is the time, because I have the best of her 3 releases.
Compare Me With The Rest - 1981 - U.K.
